Andre Jackson, 27, was arrested June 3 and charged with murder in the brutal stabbing death of 11-year-old Josue Flores. The boy was walking home from his school in north Houston, Texas, when the vicious attack happened. The suspect, believed to be Jackson, was caught on camera running from the scene of the crime.

A look at his Facebook page shows Jackson as a distraught man who desperately cried for help.

1. He Is the Prime Suspect in the Murder of Josue Flores

Andre Jackson has been arrested and charged with the murder of Josue Flores, cw39.com reported. On May 17, 11-year-old Flores was innocently walking home from school when he was brutally stabbed to death in what appears to be a random crime. There is no known connection between Jackson and Flores.

According to police, Flores was walking home from school on May 17 when a man on the same sidewalk, seen walking in the opposite direction, suddenly started stabbing him. Witnesses heard Flores screaming and saw him collapse as the suspect fled the scene.


2. A Suspect Was Seen on Video Running From the Scene

The suspect, believed to be Jackson, was seen on video running from the horrifying crime scene. The short video shows a man wearing a jacket containing the letters “LYMEN.” Authorities also confirmed Jackson was in possession of the same jacket at the time of his arrest. At a press conference June 4, Houston Police Department Lt. John McGalin said, “When we put out the call for people to look at their surveillance video, we received information about more video. We went and found it and that video led us to the identification of the suspect.”

Flores, a 6th grader, can be seen during his last moments in the video above. Houstonchronicle.com reported that the boy was on his way home from a Science Party to celebrate the end of the school year.


3. This Isn’t His First Run-In With the Law

Jackson is not a new face to authorities. People.com reported he was charged with two other crimes in the past. In March, 2016, he was charged with criminal trespassing. In 2015 he was convicted in the unlawful carrying of a weapon.

4. He Is an Ex-Marine & His Facebook Page Portrays a Troubled Soul

Authorities at the June 4 news conference said Jackson was a homeless former U.S. Marine, and was discharged in 2011. The reason for his discharge is not known at this time.

Jackson’s Facebook page is full of posts that convey an emotional roller-coaster of a life. Sadly, it seems he gave a public cry for help on numerous occasions.

On March 25, 2014, Jackson posted:

“I just called so many numbers of my family members mom and grandma and none of them are answering. Like always. I’m getting voicemails, hang ups, no replies to emails etc. I guess I did something–same shit happens when I try to contact other people hmmm…. wow.”

Just a few weeks later, Jackson wrote, “Ive been homeless-literally homeless for like 20+ days now. Whhhhhyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy. It’s just something about life that isn’t going well. Maybe I’ll last longer.”

“Swear I want to kill everybody. ever.,” Jackson posted September 5, 2014.


5. He Was Living at a Salvation Army Shelter

According to authorities, Jackson was found living at a Salvation Army homeless shelter in north Houston. When police arrested him at the shelter on June 4, he was found in possession of what’s believed to be the same jacket that the suspect wore in the video, reported khou.com.
