Police reports released by Radar Online allegedly reveal pop star Michael Jackson to be a “manipulative, drug-and-sex-crazed predator” who kept a large collection of disturbing pornography in his Neverland Ranch home.

Jackson, who died on June 25, 2009, was charged with child molestation in 2003 but was acquitted in 2005. The veracity of the documents is not entirely clear. The Santa Barbara Sheriff’s Department, which investigated Jackson, told the Los Angeles Times that some of the documents appear to be copies of reports put together by its detectives, while others are images taken from the Internet. The reports have been seen publicly for the first time, but Santa Barbara authorities say they did not release them.

Jackson’s family is denying the allegations made in the reports.

“Those who continue to shamelessly exploit Michael via sleazy internet ‘click bait’ ignore that he was acquitted by a jury in 2005 on every one of the 14 salacious charges brought against him in a failed witch hunt,” Jackson’s estate said in a statement.

Here’s what you need to know:

1. The Reports Say the Porn Included Children’s Faces Superimposed on Adult Bodies, Animal Torture Images & S&M Pictures

The reports, which you can read here, were written after the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Department raided Michael Jackson’s Neverland Ranch home in Los Olivos, California, in November 2003, according to Radar Online.

The reports state that the pornography collection included children’s faces superimposed on adult bodies, photos of children and animals used to desensitize children for abuse and pictures of nude young adults and adolescents. Other photos included S&M, animal torture and gore.

Police seized “notes, diaries, documents, photographs, audiotapes and videotapes,” according to the reports. They also found 80 video recordings and computer hard drives, police said.

2. The Documents Include Copies of Police Reports & Photographs Taken by Investigators

The Santa Barbara Sheriff’s Department, which investigated Jackson for child molestation, has verified that some of the documents released by Radar Online are copies of actual police reports. But they have denied releasing the information, saying the reports were not made public and had been turned over to prosecutors and defense attorney’s during Jackson’s trial.

“Some of the documents appear to be copies of reports that were authored by Sheriff’s Office personnel as well as evidentiary photographs taken by Sheriff’s Office personnel interspersed with content that appears to be obtained off the internet or through unknown sources,” a spokesman told Billboard. “The Sheriff’s Office did not release any of the documents and/or photographs to the media. The Sheriff’s Office released all of its reports and the photographs as part of the required discovery process to the prosecution and the defense.”

“The documents with a header titled Sheriff’s Department that contain a case number appear to be Sheriff’s Office documents,” the spokesman said. “The photos that are interspersed appear to be some evidentiary photos taken by Sheriff’s investigators and others are clearly obtained from the Internet.”

3. Some of the Photos May Have Been Used to ‘Groom’ Children, a Former Prosecutor Says

A former prosecutor says some of the photos and videos found in the documents were used to “groom” children.

“A lot of this stuff was used to desensitize the children, and Michael admitted taking one child after another into bed with him for long periods of time,” former Santa Barbara Senior Assistant District Attorney Ron Zonen told Radar. “We identified five different boys, who all made allegations of sexual abuse. There’s not much question in my mind that Michael was guilty of child molestation.”

4. Jackson Was Acquitted on Charges He Sexually Abused a 13-Year-old Cancer Survivor

Jackson was accused of molesting a 13-year-old cancer survivor, Gavin Arvizo. He was charged with seven felony child molestation charges and two felony counts of providing an intoxicant to a minor under the age of 14.

But Jackson was acquitted in 2005 of all the charges, according to ABC News.

“At night they entered into the world of the forbidden, they went into Michael Jackson’s bedroom, which was a veritable fortress,” the prosecutor, Ron Zonen, said in closing arguments. “They learned about human sexuality from someone who was all too willing to be their teacher. … Are you comfortable with a middle-aged man getting in bed with a teenage boy as he possesses material like this that excites him?”

5. Jackson’s Estate Says Everything in the Reports Is False & Michael Remains ‘Innocent’

Jackson’s estate issued a scathing statement denying the accuracy of the reports:

Seven years ago this coming Saturday, the world lost an amazing artist and humanitarian devoted to helping children in need in all corners of the world. Michael Jackson’s fans, including the Executors of his estate, prefer to remember the wonderful gifts Michael left behind instead of having to once again see his good name dragged through the mud by tabloid trash.

Everything in these reports, including what the County of Santa Barbara calls “content that appears to be obtained off the Internet or through unknown sources” is false, no doubt timed to the anniversary of Michael’s passing. Those who continue to shamelessly exploit Michael via sleazy internet “click bait” ignore that he was acquitted by a jury in 2005 on every one of the 14 salacious charges brought against him in a failed witch hunt.

Michael remains just as innocent of these smears in death as he was in life even though he isn’t here to defend himself. Enough is enough.

Jackson’s daughter, Paris Jackson, said on Twitter, “Unfortunately negativity will always sell. I urge you all to ignore the trash & the parasites who make a career trying to slander my father. The most pure people are always torn down.. It will continue to be proven that my beloved dad has always been and forever will be innocent.”
