A federal lawsuit accusing Donald Trump of raping a 13-year-old girl during a party hosted by convicted pedophile billionaire Jeffrey Epstein 20 years ago in New York is still in the early stages. A pre-trial conference that was scheduled for September 9 was recently pushed back to October and then delayed again until December 16, 2016.

The case has been filed in federal court three times, once in California, and now twice in New York.

It is not likely that the Republican presidential candidate will have to appear in court for the upcoming December 16 status conference, which typically only involve attorneys and the judge in the case. The lawsuit was initially filed in April, but was then dismissed for procedural reasons. It was re-filed in June, pseudonymously by Jane Doe. It was then re-filed a third time, again by Jane Doe, on September 30.

The case has been assigned to Judge Ronnie Abrams.

The conference is scheduled to take place at 11:30 a.m. in Courtroom 1506 of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, 40 Foley Square, New York, New York, according to court documents.

The lawsuit accuses Trump of rape, sexual misconduct, criminal sexual acts, sexual abuse, forcible touching, assault, battery, intentional and reckless infliction of emotional distress, duress and false imprisonment. The accuser is seeking $75,000 in damages, plus attorneys fees.

Meagher, a New Jersey-based patent attorney, told Revelist he heard about the case online and learned that the alleged victim was searching for an attorney through the website Gossip Extra. He then reached out to the website, which put her in touch with him.

Trump denied the claims after the first lawsuit was filed.

“The allegations are not only categorically false, but disgusting at the highest level and clearly framed to solicit media attention or, perhaps, are simply politically motivated,” Trump told the tabloid website Radar Online, the first publication to report on the lawsuit. “There is absolutely no merit to these allegations. Period.”

Trump is now also being sued for defamation for that statement. Trump’s attorneys have threatened to take action against Meagher over the lawsuit.

The lawsuit can be read below:

Epstein, a disgraced investment banker, has previously been accused of running a “sexual abuse ring” involving underage girls provided to high-powered clients, including businessmen and politicians, according to The Guardian. Epstein was a friend of President Bill Clinton, whose wife, Hillary Clinton, is running for the Democratic presidential nomination, a topic often mentioned by conservatives:

He was convicted of soliciting an underage girl for prostitution and was sentenced to 13 months in prison.

Trump also has connections to Epstein, according to Buzzfeed and The Daily Beast.

Trump has another court date looming in federal court. Judge Gonzalo Curiel set a November 28 date for the first trial related to Trump University. He is being sued in California federal court for fraud by former students of the training school. Trump has also denied the allegations in that case.
