Tonight, Inside Edition will focus on Karen Houghton’s dramatic facelift that has made her look remarkably similar to her sister, Kris Jenner. Houghton is Jenner’s only sibling, but hasn’t appeared in many of the Kardashians’ public appearances– some claim that Kris has purposely tried to keep her little sis out of the spotlight.

1. She Had to Get an Order of Protection Against Her Ex Husband

Karen Houghton was married to her ex-husband, Mark Zettel, for six years before they divorced in 2002. According to the Daily Mail, Karen was forced to get an order of protection against him in San Diego County Superior Court at the beginning of 2009. She told the outlet, “He’s on crystal meth, psychiatric drugs, bipolar meds.” Houghton added on that Zettel’s behavior was threatening and volatile– especially to their teenage daughter, Natalie.
Zettel’s records show he has been arrested 16 times for grand theft, possession of ammunition by a prohibited person and being under the influence of a controlled substance, according to the Daily Mail.
2. She Admits She’s Happy to Look Like Her Older Sister After a Five Hour Facelift
Inside Edition exclusively accompanied Karen Houghton as she underwent a five-hour facelift. According to the outlet, the outcome was “incredible”.
After seeing the results for herself, Houghton said, “I look like my beautiful sister Kris and I never thought I would.”
At one point, Karen was asked if she changed her look to keep up with the Kardashians– she said she wanted to it for herself “and of course the Kardashians. Everyone wants to look beautiful.”
The operation was performed by Dr. Ben Talei of the Beverly Hills Center. Houghton was only given local anesthesia for the procedure, but felt ready to undergo the transformation when the day came. She told Inside Edition, “I’m feeling really comfortable. I’m not really nervous.”
3. She Refused to Attend Kim’s Wedding

Karen, who is sometimes referred to as “the crazy aunt”, refused to attend Kim’s nuptials with Kanye West. According to the Daily Mail, Kim even offered to fly her to Paris, but Houghton was worried that Californian wildfires would destroy her home. Karen also told the news outlet, “I’ve been to Kim’s wedding, two of them, and I’ve been to Paris.”
Karen spoke to the Daily Mail shortly after Kim called her, offering to buy her a plane ticket for the wedding. Karen told the Daily Mail, “I’d stay at the Four Seasons and all that, but I used to be a stewardess – traveling and all of that is not a big deal to me.”
4. She Has a ‘Track Record of Being With Men That Have Drug Problems and Criminal Records’

In 2013, the Daily Mail revealed that Karen “has a track of being with men that have a drug problems and criminal records.” The news outlet also reported that as a result of Karen’t habits, Kris has done her best to keep her younger sister of three years out of the spotlight.
An inside source told the magazine, “Kris is so over the top when it comes to being image-conscious. And while Karen is a totally down-to-earth sweetheart, she certainly doesn’t come close to meeting the glam standards that Kris likes to publicly project for her family.”
5. She Believes Kylie Is “Wild” Because of Caitlyn Jenner

In 2015, Mirror reported that Kris had told Heat magazine: “I call Kylie my wild child. Is she wild because of Caitlyn? Yes.”
According to the outlet, Karen works as an animal charity worker, and believes that Kris was left “hurt and embarrassed” by Caitlyn. She told Mirror,
“Kris doesn’t talk about it much because she finds it embarrassing – I think she’s hurt more than anything. But my sister is a genius at marketing so she’s very good at hiding her feelings. Kris doesn’t want the world to think her life is falling apart.”
