The House of Representatives is meeting today to vote on the American Health Care Act. So when exactly is this vote going to take place?

The House is currently in session, with members of Congress delivering speeches right now on the American Health Care Act. According to Politico reporter Blake Sherman, this debate will last for a few more hours, and then the House will vote on the bill between 1:15 and 1:45 p.m. Eastern Time.

There may be some delays as the day goes on, but at this time, the House of Representatives is expected to finish its business on the American Health Care Act by between 2:30 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. Eastern Time.

The final vote will likely be broadcast on most major news network, but in addition, the entire process can be streamed live here.

The House today is voting on the American Health Care Act, the Obamacare replacement that was withdrawn in late March when it became clear that Republicans did not have the votes. However, since then, an amendment known as the MacArthur Amendment has been added; this amendment allows states to waive certain federal regulations, such as essential health benefits, and so this appeals to the conservative wing of the party that felt the original bill did not do enough to fully repeal Obamacare.

It remains to be seen whether Republicans truly do have enough votes in order to pass the American Health Care Act this time around.
