The Commanders signed Moore to a reserve/future contract Tuesday. Moore spent the 2024 regular season on the Cardinals' and Commanders' practice squads. He was elevated to Washington's active roster for the NFC wild-card game against Tampa Bay, during which he played 12 offensive snaps without drawing a target. Moore will be able to participate in OTAs, minicamp and training camp while working his way to earn a spot on the Commanders' 53-man roster for the 2025 campaign.
Moore reverted to the Commanders' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log. Moore signed with the Commanders' practice squad in late December after being cut from the Cardinals' practice squad Nov. 5. He was elevated to Washington's active roster for Sunday's NFC wild-card game against Tampa Bay and ended up playing 12 snaps on offense, which was more than veteran Jamison Crowder (11). Moore is a candidate to be elevated to the Commanders' active roster for Saturday's NFC divisional-round game against the Lions.
The Commanders elevated Moore from their practice squad to their active roster Saturday. Moore played in five games for Arizona earlier this season, logging 26 offensive snaps without drawing any targets. He was cut from the Cardinals' practice squad in early November and latched on with Washington's practice squad the day after Christmas. He could see his first action with the Commanders on Sunday in the team's wild-card matchup versus Tampa Bay.
The Commanders signed Moore to the practice squad Thursday, Zach Selby of the team's official site reports. Moore spent the first five weeks of the regular season with the Cardinals but did not record a target over that span, and he was cut from Arizona's practice squad in early November. He's had stints with the Cardinals, Titans, Texans and Ravens since being selected by Baltimore in the fourth round of the 2016 NFL Draft, and over that span he has accumulated 138 catches (on 215 targets) for 1,710 yards and eight touchdowns across 111 regular-season games. Moore could be elevated to the Commanders' active roster for Sunday's game against the Falcons if either or both of Terry McLaurin (ankle) and Dyami Brown (hamstring) were unable to play.
The Cardinals cut Moore from the practice squad Tuesday. Moore began the regular season on the Cardinals' active roster, and after being released Oct. 9, he opted to stick around and signed with Arizona's practice squad two days later. Moore played 26 snaps on offense through the first five games of the regular season but did not see a target.
Moore signed with the Cardinals' practice squad Friday. Moore was released from the Cardinals' active roster Wednesday after playing 26 offensive snaps across the team's first five games. However, it appears Arizona had a change of heart, as the 31-year-old wideout will rejoin the team's practice squad. Moore could be elevated to the active roster if Arizona's wide receiver room faces injuries at any point this season.
The Cardinals will release Moore on Wednesday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. Moore has played a depth role on offense through each of Arizona's first five games and failed to draw a target across 26 snaps. With Zay Jones (suspension) eligible to return to the field as early as Sunday versus Green Bay, Moore looks as though he'll find himself as the odd man out from Arizona's receiving corps. He could reunite with the Cardinals as a member of the practice squad, however.
Moore caught his only target for seven yards in Sunday's 38-12 preseason loss to the Broncos. While he didn't make much of a statistical impact, Moore's lone catch came on the Cardinals' first drive of the game, suggesting he's in the lead for one of the final spots on the wide receiver depth chart. With Zay Jones (suspension) set to miss the first five games of the season, that could open up some slot snaps for a player like Moore, although Greg Dortch should get first crack at that role.
Moore signed a one-year contract with the Cardinals on Thursday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports. Moore has been a possession receiver for the majority of his career, but he flashed big-play ability during the Titans in 2023. Despite making only 22 catches, he had nine receptions of at least 20 yards and three of more than 40 yards. The Cardinals lack clarity in their wide receiver corps, and while they're likely to add to the group in either free agency or through the draft, Moore steps into a situation that currently should afford him plenty of opportunity to produce.
