Steven Kubitza has been a digital sports journalist for over a decade. The Cleveland native has had his work published by Yahoo Sports, FOX Sports, FanSided, Sportskeeda, PFSN, and Yardbarker. He currently covers the Pittsburgh Steelers, Indianapolis Colts, and college football for Heavy Sports.
Kubitza's writing focuses on uncovering angles beyond simple news updates and box scores. His experience includes roles both as a writer and as a managing editor for several sports news outlets.
He also carries several years of experience as a university instructor and proudly created his own Sport Communication course at the University of California, Santa Barbara.
Education
Steven Kubitza is currently a PhD Candidate in Communication at the University of California, Santa Barbara. He also has a Master's in Journalism from Kent State University and a Bachelor's in Sport Management from Bowling Green State University.
