Bassitt didn't factor into the decision in Friday's 6-4 win over Cleveland, allowing four hist and four walks over five scoreless innings. He struck out two. The veteran right-hander was neither efficient nor dominant, managing only six swinging strikes and 56 total strikes among his 100 pitches, but Bassitt kept Guardians hitters off-balance and didn't allow much hard contact -- all four hits off him were singles. After a bumpy beginning to his Baltimore tenure, Bassitt has given up just one earned run over his last two outings, but he still carries a 6.19 ERA, 2.13 WHIP and 7:11 K:BB through 16 innings on the season. He'll look to keep chipping away at those ratios in his next trip to the mound, which lines up to come on the road next week in Kansas City.

Christopher Bassitt: Breaking News
Shows improvement in no-decision
Bassitt did not factor into the decision in Saturday's 6-2 win over the Giants, allowing two runs (one earned) on seven hits and one walk with two strikeouts over 4.2 innings. Bassitt allowed runs in the second and fourth innings and departed one out shy of qualifying for a potential win at 89 pitches. While it was the veteran's best showing of the season, he's now failed to complete five frames in each of his three starts. His numbers remain rough across the board, as he'll carry a 9.00 ERA, 2.36 WHIP and 5:7 K:BB across 11 innings into a road matchup against the Guardians next week.
Another dreadful showing
Bassitt (0-2) took the loss Sunday against the Pirates, allowing six runs on six hits and two walks in two innings. He failed to record a strikeout. Following a disappointing Orioles debut that saw him give up four runs to the Rangers, Bassitt was unable to get back on track. The veteran right-hander exhibited a significant lack of control, launching just 32 of his 62 pitches for strikes while laboring his way through only two frames before Baltimore pulled the plug. It's worth mentioning he did sign with the O's fairly late in the offseason, so Bassitt could still be shaking off some rust. He was also hit by a line drive from Oneil Cruz in the second inning Sunday but was able to stay in the game, and his next outing tentatively lines up against the Giants next weekend.
