Kendry Rojas: Breaking News
Lands on IL with elbow inflammation
Rojas (elbow) was placed on the 15-day IL on Friday. Rojas had been in line to start Thursday's game against the White Sox but had to be scratched due to what was called posterior elbow soreness. The soreness being on the outside of the elbow suggests Rojas' UCL is likely fine, but the left-hander could nevertheless be looking at an extended absence.
Scratched from start
Rojas will not start against the White Sox on Thursday due to posterior elbow soreness, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports. Rojas was slated to start his second game of the season but will instead be scratched due to the injury. Simeon Woods Richardson will take his place as the starter for the series finale against the White Sox. It is unclear yet whether this will lead to an injured-list stint for Rojas.
