Gray went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and an additional RBI in Thursday's loss to the Mets. Gray swatted a solo shot to right-center field in the sixth inning and added a run-scoring single in the ninth. This was his first start in Minnesota's past three games, which coincides with the return of Royce Lewis to the lineup following a stint on the injured list. Gray doesn't seem to be in line for an everyday role, but he's been a pleasant surprise for the Twins early in the campaign, slashing .268/.311/.512 with three homers, 13 RBI and five runs through 46 plate appearances.

Tristan Gray: Breaking News
Losing playing time with Lewis back
Gray is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Mets. Gray had been occupying the strong side of a platoon at third base over the past couple of weeks, but he appears set to move back into more of a utility infield role after Royce Lewis returned from the injured list. Lewis will make his second straight start at third base Wednesday, while Gray has been on the bench for both contests.
Part of platoon at hot corner
Gray is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Red Sox. Since Royce Lewis landed on the injured list Friday due to a sprained left knee, the Twins have used Gray and Ryan Kreidler in a platoon at third base. With southpaw Connelly Early on the hill for Boston in the series finale, the right-handed-hitting Kreidler will get the nod at third base, though Gray should stand to see a larger volume of the opportunities at the position while Lewis is shelved.
