Gold PS4 Launches Today With Days of Play Sale

Gold PS4

With E3 basically upon us, Sony has released its newest iteration of the PlayStation line with the Gold PS4. Unfortunately, this isn’t a PS4 Pro but that’s okay because it is so sleek looking. This PS4 Slim will come with 1 TB of storage and will put you back $249.99.

Almost every retailer will be carrying the new console including:

To coincide with the launch of this console, PlayStation has started the Days of Play sale which has some pretty good titles receiving major discounts. Starting today, we have titles like Horizon Zero Dawn, MLB The Show 17 and Prey all receiving steep discounts.

Here’s a list of some of our favorite titles on sale along with their prices:

  • Horizon Zero Dawn – $39.59
  • Battlefield 1 – $29.99
  • MLB The Show 17 – $39.59
  • Prey – $39.59
  • Nioh – $39.59
  • Mass Effect Andromeda – $29.99

You can check out the full list of sales right here. On top of the sale, you’ll receive $15 of credit on the PlayStation Store if you manage to spend $100. With the amount of games on sale and their quality, we can see it’s very possible to spend over $100 here. If digital isn’t your thing, there’s also a wide variety of stores offering discount of PS4 titles and accessories. Amazon is offering a discount of the gold DualShock 4 controllers if you are in the market for a new controller but don’t want to shell out the money for a new console.

Finally, you can pick up the 12-month PS Plus membership for $50, receiving a $10 discount, if you pick up a new subscription on the PlayStation Store. The PS Plus membership counts toward the $100 of spending too so you can pick up the membership and a game and receive the $15 credit.

The Days of Play sale will be live until June 16. Sony’s E3 2017 briefing is scheduled for Monday, June 12, starting at 6 p.m. PT / 9 p.m. ET. You can tune in right here at Heavy for the live stream.
