WATCH: New ISIS Video From Libya Calls For Somalia to Join Islamic State

In a new video purportedly released by the Islamic State, ISIS militants in “Wilayat Tarablus,” or the Tripolitania area of Libya, call for al-Shabaab militants to join them. al-Shabaab is an Islamic militant group based in southern Somalia, Africa and is currently affiliated with al-Qaeda, an enemy of the Islamic State. The new video is titled “A Message To Our Brothers in Somalia” and was released on January 12, 2015.

In the video, ISIS militants are shown in what they claim to be “Wilayat Tarablus,” Libya, which includes the Islamic State stronghold of Sirte. Here, they implore their “Somalian brothers” to leave al-Shabaab for ISIS.
