Myles Turner Latest News
Hits four threes in Game 5
Turner contributed 16 points (6-12 FG, 4-7 3Pt), five rebounds, two assists, two steals and two blocks in Tuesday's 121-91 loss to the Knicks in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals. Turner was responsible for four of the Pacers' 12 three-point makes Tuesday, his most in the postseason since Game 4 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs against the Bucks. He extended his streak of two-plus blocks to three games, but he also committed a team-high four turnovers. Turner is averaging 17.6 points on 49.3 percent shooting (including 45.3 percent on 3.8 3PA/G), 6.5 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.5 blocks over 32.4 minutes per game in the postseason.
Double-doubles, swats three shots
Turner notched 21 points (7-13 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 5-6 FT), 10 rebounds, one assist and three blocks over 35 minutes during Friday's 111-106 victory over the Knicks in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals. Turner made his presence felt on both ends of the court Friday, tying his playoff-high mark in blocks while recording his first double-double of the current playoff run. The Pacers need Turner to continue making a two-way impact if they're going to turn things around in the series, especially considering how depleted the Knicks are in the frontcourt with Julius Randle (shoulder), Mitchell Robinson (ankle) and OG Anunoby (hamstring) all out for Game 4.
Leading scorer in Game 1 defeat
Turner tallied 23 points (8-16 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 5-6 FT), three assists, two rebounds, one block and one steal over 35 minutes in Monday's 121-117 loss to New York in Game 1 of the second round of the Eastern Conference playoffs. Turner did all he could to help Indiana to a road victory in Game 1 against New York, leading the club in scoring to go along with a team-high-tying pair of threes while ending as the lone Pacer with 20 or more points in the losing effort. Turner bounced back well after a pair of low-scoring outings in the final two games of the first-round series, posting his fourth game of the postseason with at least 20 points. Indiana will hope for a similar performance from Turner offensively in Game 2, and he may need to improve his presence on the glass to help the Pacers own the battle on the boards.
Leads from deep in balanced Game 4
Turner posted 29 points (10-17 FG, 7-9 3Pt, 2-6 FT), nine rebounds, four assists and three blocks over 38 minutes in Sunday's 126-113 win over the Bucks in Game 4 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs. Turner continued his strong performance in the series against Milwaukee, taking advantage of the absence of Giannis Antetokounmpo (calf) by putting together another well-rounded outing to help Indiana to a commanding 3-1 series lead. Turner led all players in Sunday's contest in threes made while leading the Pacers in scoring, rebounds and blocks in a near double-double showing. Turner has been dominant all series, posting at least 20 points and seven rebounds in three of his four postseason outings.
Nears double-double as top scorer
Turner notched 29 points (10-21 FG, 4-10 3Pt, 5-6 FT), nine rebounds, one assist and one steal over 41 minutes in Friday's 121-118 overtime win over Milwaukee in Game 3 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs. Turner led all Indiana players in scoring and shots made from deep while ending one rebound shy of a double-double to boost the Pacers to a thrilling overtime victory to take a series lead against the Bucks. Turner has posted at least 15 points and seven rebounds in all three first-round games, connecting on three or more threes in every outing so far in the series.
Posts 22/7/6 line in victory
Turner produced 22 points (9-15 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 1-1 FT), seven rebounds, six assists and three blocks in 34 minutes during Tuesday's 125-108 victory over the Bucks in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals. Turner's value for the Pacers can't be understated, as the veteran consistently provides solid interior support. Interestingly, his exposure in fantasy contests is very low, making him one of the most underrated centers in the playoff bracket. Although players like Jalen Smith and Isaiah Jackson challenged Turner for playing time in the regular season, neither of the backups saw any playing time in Indiana's Game 2 win.
Shines to round out regular season
Turner notched 31 points (13-17 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 12 rebounds and four blocks across 22 minutes during Sunday's 157-115 win over the Hawks. Turner did it all for the Pacers in the regular-season finale, leading all players in the contest in rebounds while pacing Indiana in scoring and blocks to put together one of his best outings of the year. Turner surpassed the 30-point mark for the second time this season, posting his 17th double-double of the campaign.
Perfect from line in 20-10 outing
Turner notched 22 points (6-12 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 8-8 FT), 13 rebounds, two assists and two blocks over 37 minutes in Sunday's 117-115 win over Miami. Turner led all players in Sunday's contest in rebounds while shooting a perfect mark from the free-throw line and posting a team-high-tying scoring total in the lone double-double outing for the Pacers. Turner connected on eight or more free throws for the second time this season while tying a season-high mark in rebounds in the win. He has now recorded at least 20 points and 10 rebounds in six contests this year.
Efficient night in return Friday
Turner racked up 16 points (6-11 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, one block and one steal over 18 minutes during Friday's 126-112 win over the Thunder. Turner returned to the Pacers' lineup Friday after missing Wednesday's game against the Nets due to a right finger sprain. He played just 16 minutes Friday, but he should see more action over the last four games of the regular season with the Pacers battling to avoid placement in the NBA Play-In Tournament. Since the All-Star break, Turner is averaging 15.9 points on 50.2 percent shooting (including 39.6 percent from three), 6.6 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 2.1 blocks over 25.9 minutes per game.
