Lara Trump is the wife of Eric Trump and daughter-in-law of President Donald Trump.

The former Lara Yunaska is a 34-year-old North Carolina native. She and her husband announced in March 2017 that she is pregnant with their first child, a son. Lara Trump, a former TV producer who now is involved in charity work, said she is in her second trimester and was “exhausted” in the beginning.

“It surprised me, because I’m a very active person, and until the fatigue hit, I didn’t believe it would actually happen to me,” she told People. “It really affected me. But I’m feeling really good now.”

Eric Trump, 33, told the magazine, “We found out on my birthday, which was pretty cool.”

“I knew I always wanted kids someday,” Lara Trump told People. “Eric’s going to be an amazing dad. The nieces and nephews love hanging with him. He’s the cool uncle. He’s watched Frozen many times.”

Their son will be President Trump’s ninth grandchild. Lara Trump said her father-in-law is also excited.

“We were worried he’d blurt it out at a press conference,” she said.

1. She Married Eric Trump in 2014 at His Father’s Florida Beach Club

Eric Trump and Lara Yunaska dated for six years before they married in 2014 at Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Go Club in Palm Beach, Florida, according to the New York Daily News. About 400 family and friends attended the lavish ceremony.

Eric Trump’s brother-in-law, Jared Kushner, the husband of Ivanka Trump, officiated the wedding.

He proposed to Yunaska in July 2014 at the Trump Seven Springs estate in Bedford, New York, according to the Daily News.

“They were reportedly walking her miniature beagle when he presented her with a ring from his sister Ivanka’s fine jewelry collection. They are said to have sealed the deal with a champagne toast, which Eric brought along for the occasion,” the newspaper reported.

They have a dog, a beagle named Charlie.


2. She Broke Both Her Wrists in a Horse-Riding Accident 2 Weeks Before the Wedding

Lara Yunaska Trump is an avid equestrian. She broke both her wrists in a horse-riding accident just weeks before her 2014 wedding.

“There are inherent risks that we all take in life. When you truly love something, it’s worth it. I wouldn’t take back one day of riding — stuff happens,” she posted on Instagram, along with a photo of her riding. “I will ride again and it will be better than ever. Most importantly, I still get to marry the love of my life on Nov 8th!”

She had to have several stitches put in to repair her injured arms, which were covered during the wedding ceremony.

Lara Trump is an animal lover and welfare advocate for the North Shore Animal League of America, the largest no-kill animal rescue and adoption organization in the world.

She has also volunteered for “Paw’s Place Animal Rescue, a no-kill, 501(c)3, dog shelter in Winnabow, NC, and Animal Aid USA, a non-profit that relocates animals from high-kill shelters and places them into receiving rescues and homes,” according to the Eric Trump Foundation’s website.


3. She Is a Former Personal Trainer & Was a Producer for the CBS Show ‘Inside Edition’

Yunaska, a native of Wilmington, North Carolina, is a former personal trainer, according to the Eric Trump Foundation’s website.

The couple now lives in New York City.

“As a former personal trainer, Lara remains an avid nutrition & fitness enthusiast and regularly runs full & half marathons for various charities, including the New York City Marathon for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital,” the website says. “She recently competed in the Tough Mudder endurance event to benefit The Wounded Warrior Project and is a devotee of the full-body fitness program, SoulCycle.”

She has worked as a journalist for the CBS show Inside Edition, including as an associate producer there, according to her Linkedin profile.


4. She Graduated From North Carolina State University

Lara Trump graduated from North Carolina State University in 2005 with degrees in communications and French, according to Linkedin.

She went on to attend the L’Universite Catholique de Lille in France and the French Culinary Institute in New York, where she completed a degree in pastry arts.


5. She & Her Husband Work Together on His Charity, Which Benefits St. Jude’s

Lara and Eric Trump are both heavily involved in his charity, the Eric Trump Foundation, according to its website. The foundation benefits the St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

“Founded in 2006, The Eric Trump Foundation (ETF) is dedicated to raising money for children battling life-threatening diseases at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. To date, the Foundation has donated and pledged nearly $28 million dollars to St. Jude and grown into one of the largest private charities in the country,” the website says.

She is on the foundation’s board of directors.
