Craig Woodson: Breaking News

Notches 79 stops in rookie campaign

Woodson tallied 79 total tackles (42 solo) and three passes defensed over 17 regular-season games in 2025. Woodson, a 2025 fourth-round pick from California, quickly became an integral part of the Patriots' secondary, starting 15 of the 17 regular-season games in which he appeared. He impressed throughout his rookie season, tying for the team lead in fumble recoveries while ranking fourth in total tackles. With Jaylinn Hawkins set to become an unrestricted free agent following the Patriots' 2025 playoff run, Woodson could start alongside a new running mate in 2026.

Four stops against NYJ

Woodson registered four tackles (three solo) during the Patriots' 27-14 win over the Jets on Thursday. Woodson was on the field for 54 of the Patriots' 57 defensive snaps and finished tied for the fifth most tackles on the team. The rookie fourth-rounder is up to 51 tackles (28 solo), three pass defenses and one fumble recovery through the first 11 regular-season games of his NFL career.

Posts eight stops Week 10

Woodson logged eight tackles (three solo) and two pass defenses during the Patriots' 28-23 win over the Buccaneers on Sunday. Woodson played every single defensive snap Sunday, and his eight stops tied a season high that he set in Week 1 against the Raiders. The rookie fourth-rounder is up to 47 tackles (25 solo), three pass defenses and one fumble recovery through 10 regular-season games.
