Ulysses Bentley: Everything you need to know

The Colts signed Bentley to a reserve/future contract Monday. The rookie out of Ole Miss spent all but Week 1 on the Colts' practice squad during the 2025 season, where he had two snaps on offense, including one rushing attempt. Bentley is expected to compete for a reserve role in the Colts' backfield as the team prepares to start offseason activities.

Bentley reverted to the Colts' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log. Bentley was active for Sunday's Week 2 win over the Broncos but didn't see any action in the contest. He's been elevated ahead of each of Indianapolis' first two games but has yet to register an offensive touch.

The Colts elevated Bentley from the practice squad to the active roster Saturday. Bentley was also on the active roster in Week 1 against the Dolphins, but he played just two offensive snaps. The undrafted rookie is being brought up as backfield depth in case Tyler Goodson -- who is questionable with an elbow injury -- ends up inactive.
