Hunter logged seven tackles (six solo), with 3.0 sacks, during Houston's loss to the Titans on Sunday. Hunter had a dominant outing despite the loss as he recorded a season-high 3.0 sacks. The 30-year-old has now compiled 10.5 sacks on the campaign, marking the third straight season that he's racked up double-digit sacks and the sixth time total across his nine-year career.
Hollman sustained a torn ACL during Sunday's game versus the Titans, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Hollman was forced out of Houston's contest in Week 12 early by a knee injury which has now been confirmed to be season-ending. His absence could result in Jeff Okudah seeing an uptick in snaps as the rest of the season plays out, but for Hollman's part, he'll work on recovering for a potential return in 2025.
Pitre sustained a partially-ruptured pectoral during Sunday's game versus the Titans, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. It still hasn't been decided whether Pitre will need surgery to repair the muscle, and that judgement will probably determine how long he'll need to sit out as he recovers. Per Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, he'll likely have to miss multiple games either way, which could mean increased opportunities for Eric Murray and M.J. Stewart.
Anderson had 2.0 sacks in Sunday's 32-27 loss to Tennessee in Week 12. Those were Anderson's only two tackles in his return from an ankle injury that cost him two games. The edge rusher is up to 9.5 sacks through 10 games played, which ranks fifth in the NFL.
Ward recorded six tackles, three for a loss, and returned an interception 65 yards for a touchdown in Sunday's 32-27 loss to the Titans in Week 12. Ward stepped in front of a Will Levis pass and raced untouched to the house. At the time, the score gave Houston a lead late in the third quarter. The pick was his second in the three weeks since returning from a groin injury.
Fairbairn converted two of three field-goal attempts and all three extra-point kicks in Sunday's 32-27 loss to Tennessee in Week 12. Fairbairn set an NFL record for most field goals from 50 yards and beyond when he drilled a 54-yarder early in the fourth quarter, the 12th make from long distance. However, all anyone will remember was his miss, a chip shot he hooked from 28 yards later in the same quarter. If successful, the kick would have tied the game and not left the Texans in a vulnerable spot. It was his second miss from between 20 and 29 yards in the last four weeks.
Stover caught three of four targets for 26 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 32-27 loss to the Titans in Week 12. Stover caught his first touchdown in the NFL on the game's opening play from scrimmage. He wasn't the primary option on the play, but when he broke past the defender and was wide open, quarterback C.J. Stroud took advantage. This was the first week that Stover had more targets than starter Dalton Schultz (two), who has yet to reach the end zone in 2024.
