Head coach Andy Reid told reporters Thursday that he expects Thuney (pectoral) to be available for the beginning of the regular season, Nate Taylor of The Athletic reports. Reid also noted that Thuney is "kind of right on the border" regarding his return for the start of training camp, which is another positive sign for the 31-year-old's recovery. Once Thuney is back on the field, he's expected to remain Kansas City's top left guard.

Thompson is now resting at home four days after having suffered a seizure and cardiac arrest during a special-teams meeting at team facilities. The Chiefs will doubtless take a cautious approach to the 27-year-old's recovery. When ready to retake the field, Thompson will be in position to compete for a depth role at edge rusher, while also potentially contributing on special teams.
Johnson (knee) is participating in the Chiefs' organized team activities, Matt McMullen of the Chiefs' official site reports. Johnson has apparently recovered from a torn ACL that caused him to miss the entire 2023 season. The 2022 seventh-round pick will now try to earn a depth role in the secondary for the defending Super Bowl champs.
Thompson, who was reported to be in stable condition Thursday after suffering a seizure and going into cardiac arrest during a special-teams meeting, is awake and responsive Friday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports. Thompson's prognosis is positive, per Pelissero, and Adam Teicher of ESPN reported Thursday that doctors are 'optimistic' about his recovery. The Chiefs returned to practice Friday to conclude voluntary OTAs.

Per Teicher, Thompson was taken to an area hospital by ambulance from the Chiefs' practice facility Thursday morning, after which the team's scheduled OTA was rescheduled for Friday. Thompson, a 2023 fifth-round draft pick, played in one regular-season game as a rookie, recording two tackles Week 18.
Hardman is re-signing with the Chiefs on a one-year contract, Dianna Russini of The Athletic reports. Hardman left Kansas City for the Jets last offseason but then was traded back to the Chiefs in mid-October after failing to earn a major role in New York. He had a 52-yard reception and a game-ending touchdown in the Super Bowl against San Francisco, making the most of his 19 snaps on offense. Hardman figures to work as a depth receiver again in 2024, and he might also get a chance to returns punts and/or kicks.
Remigio (wrist) has been an active participant at Kansas City's team OTAs, Matt McMullen of the team's official website reports. Remigio spent the entirety of the 2023 campaign on Kansas City's reserve/injured list with a wrist injury, but he now appears to have fully recovered. The wide receiver has an uphill battle to make the team's active roster in 2024, competing with the likes of Montrell Washington, Cornell Powell and Phillip Brooks to do so.
