Irvin was reassigned to minor-league camp Monday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports. Irvin signed a minor-league pact with the Dodgers in February and was invited to major-league spring training, but he struggled across four appearances. The 32-year-old posted a 9.00 ERA and 1.75 WHIP with four strikeouts across eight innings. Irvin will report to minor-league camp and appears set to begin the 2026 season at Triple-A Oklahoma City.
Irvin agreed to a minor-league contract with the Dodgers on Sunday, Aram Leighton of JustBaseball.com reports. The left-hander spent the 2025 campaign pitching with the Doosan Bears of the Korea Baseball Organization, where he had a 4.48 ERA across 144.2 innings. Irvin has posted a 4.54 ERA across 134 appearances in the big leagues and should serve as rotation depth for the Dodgers in 2026.
The Doosan Bears of the Korea Baseball Organization signed Irvin to a one-year, $1 million contract Friday, Jee-ho Yoo of the Yonhap News Agency reports. The $1 million price tag is the maximum allowable contract for a first-year foreign player. Irvin, who turns 31 in January, has collected a 4.54 ERA and 1.31 WHIP across parts of six major-league seasons. He held a 5.11 ERA over 111 innings between the Orioles and Twins in 2024.
