Terrion Arnold Latest News
Makes return
Arnold (knee) has returned to Sunday's game against the Cardinals, Nolan Bianchi of The Detroit News reports. Arnold exited in the first quarter but has proven himself healthy enough to get back on the field.
Exits with knee issue
Arnold exited Sunday's game against the Cardinals with a knee injury and is questionable to return, Tyler Drake of ArizonaSports.com reports. Arnold has left all three games with an injury to begin the season. He was injured on a Kyler Murray scramble in the first half. Kindle Vildor and Khalil Dorsey will have to take on extra coverage snaps if Arnold is unable to return.
Good to go vs. Arizona
Arnold (illness) is active for Sunday's game against the Cardinals. Arnold was held out of practice Wednesday and Thursday due to an illness, but he was able to get in a limited session Friday and is good to go for Sunday's game. The rookie first-round pick has nine solo tackles through the first two games of the regular season.
Uncertain to play Sunday
Arnold (illness) is questionable for Sunday's Week 3 game against Arizona. Arnold missed practice both Wednesday and Thursday due to an illness, though he was able to return in a limited capacity Friday. Per Colton Pouncy of The Athletic, Lions coach Dan Campbell said Arnold is "trending the right way" for Sunday's Week 3 contest, so he still has a chance to play. If Arnold can't suit up, though, Kindle Vildor may be asked to step into a starting role.
Misses practice due to illness
Arnold (illness) did not practice Wednesday. Arnold appears to have fully recovered from the finger injury he sustained during Detroit's' loss to the Buccaneers in Week 2, but an illness will keep him sidelined at Wednesday's practice. The rookie first-round pick will have two more opportunities to get healthy and resume practicing prior to Sunday's road matchup against Arizona.
Questionable to return
Arnold (finger) is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Buccaneers, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports. The starting cornerback did not record a stat before exiting. Arnold made eight tackles in his NFL debut against the Rams in Week 1. Kindle Vildor and Khalil Dorsey are Detroit's backup cornerbacks.
Returns to practice
Arnold (pectoral) was spotted practicing Sunday, Nolan Bianchi of The Detroit News reports. Arnold had been dealing with a pectoral injury since the beginning of August, but it appears he's moved past the issue after returning to practice Sunday. Expect the 2024 first-round pick to line up opposite Carlton Davis as one of the Lions' top two cornerbacks in 2024.
Expected back for Week 1
Arnold, who left Monday's practice with a pectoral injury, is expected to be available for the Lions' regular-season opener against the Rams on Sept. 8, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. Arnold has picked up a couple of injuries during training camp, and while none have resulted in a long-term absence, it appears he'll be held out for the Lions' final two preseason games. The rookie first-rounder is expected to start at outside corner opposite seven-year veteran Carlton Davis. Arnold will get his first taste of NFL action against veteran quarterback Matthew Stafford and All-Pro wideouts Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua in Week 1.
Leaves practice early
Arnold was forced to leave Monday's practice early with an upper body injury, Kyle Meinke of MLive.com reports. Arnold played 13 snaps in Thursday's preseason opener against the Giants, failing to record any stats. The cornerback is now dealing with an undisclosed upper body injury that he suffered at practice Monday and it's unclear if he'll be forced to miss any additional time as a result. More information on Arnold's status will likely be provided in the near future.
