Roupp (4-1) earned the victory over the Dodgers on Tuesday, allowing one run on one hit and five walks while striking out seven batters over five innings. Roupp battled his control in the outing, issuing a season-high five free passes while throwing just 58 of 106 pitches for strikes. However, he balanced that with seven punchouts and yielded only one hit while inducing 12 whiffs. Roupp's elevated pitch count prevented him from going deep enough to pick up a quality start, but he pitched well enough to notch his third straight victory. The right-hander gave up five earned runs across 4.2 frames against the Mets in his second start of the season, but in his other four outings he's surrendered one or zero runs. That's earned him an overall 2.28 ERA, which he's complemented with a 1.01 WHIP and 31:12 K:BB over 27.2 innings.

Landen Roupp: Breaking News
Continues strong start to season
Roupp (3-1) earned the win Thursday against the Reds, allowing no runs on one hit and two walks while striking out six in six innings pitched. Roupp is in just his second season as a full-time starter and is off to a very strong start through four outings on the year. The 27-year-old has allowed one run or fewer in three of those four starts this season and holds a 2.38 ERA overall, 0.97 WHIP, seven walks and 24 strikeouts in 22.2 innings pitched. Last year, he finished with a 3.80 ERA and a 1.48 WHIP, so those numbers are on pace to far surpass those if he can sustain it over a full season. The right-hander is scheduled to take the mound next against the high-flying Dodgers, tied for second in MLB with 105 runs scored on the season.
Tosses quality start Friday
Roupp (2-1) earned the win Friday against the Orioles after tossing six innings of one-run ball, allowing five hits and two walks while striking out four. The four strikeouts were a season-low for Roupp, although his overall outing was a step in the right direction compared to his previous start, when he allowed seven runs on 4.2 frames against the Mets. Roupp has two quality starts this season, and he's earned the win every time he's pitched at least six frames. He has a 3.24 ERA with a 1.14 WHIP through his first 16.2 innings this season while posting a solid 18:5 K:BB. Roupp is scheduled to make his next start on the road against Cincinnati next week.
