Gervase was optioned to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Monday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports. Gervase fared well during his time with the big-league club this spring, as he turned in a 2.89 ERA and 0.86 WHIP with 11 strikeouts over 9.1 frames. However, it wasn't enough to earn himself a spot on the Opening Day roster. Gervase is in line to begin the 2026 campaign at Triple-A Oklahoma City, where he'll serve as bullpen depth.
The Dodgers optioned Gervase to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Thursday. Gervase was recalled Wednesday and was put to work in the team's loss to the Rockies later that night, allowing one run over a two-inning relief appearance. He'll give up his spot on the active roster and in the bullpen to Matt Sauer, who was recalled from Triple-A ahead of Thursday's series finale in Colorado.
The Dodgers recalled Gervase from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Wednesday. Gervase will join the Dodgers' bullpen while Alexis Diaz is optioned to Triple-A in a corresponding move. Gervase was acquired by the Dodgers from the Rays in late July and has appeared in five games for Oklahoma City, where he's posted a 2.08 ERA and 0.85 WHIP over 8.2 innings. He appeared in five major-league games for Tampa Bay before being traded and posted a 4.26 ERA and 1.74 WHIP across 6.1 frames.
