Moves to 60-day IL

The Brewers placed Baddoo (quadriceps) on the 60-day injured list Tuesday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports. Baddoo suffered a quadriceps strain in mid-March that was more significant than initially expected, and it's now expected to keep him sidelined until June, per Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Even once healthy, the 27-year-old won't be guaranteed to be added to the big-league roster.

Out longer than anticipated

Manager Pat Murphy revealed Thursday that Baddoo's left quadriceps injury is worse than initially believed and he will miss at least three to four weeks, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports. Baddoo suffered the quadriceps strain playing in Monday's Cactus League game versus the Mariners while running to first base. The 27-year-old does not have a guaranteed Opening Day roster spot, but he may add key outfield depth for the Brewers.

Slowed by quad strain

Baddoo sustained a left quadriceps strain during Monday's Cactus League game against the Mariners and is set to be further evaluated by the Brewers' team physician Wednesday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports. Baddoo suffered the injury while running to first base following an at-bat Monday. The upcoming re-evaluation should provide insight into a potential recovery timeline for Baddoo, who is competing for a backup outfield spot on the Brewers' Opening Day roster. The 27-year-old has enjoyed a strong spring thus far, going 6-for-20 with two extra-base hits, two stolen bases and a 2:7 BB:K over seven games.
