Koby Brea: Breaking News

Brea recorded 29 points (10-18 FG, 5-11 3Pt, 4-5 FT), nine rebounds, three assists and one turnover across 39 minutes of Sunday's 123-105 G League loss to the Stockton Kings. Brea continues to be a bright spot for the Valley Suns this season. Through seven games, he's averaging 21.3 points, 7.0 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 0.7 steals and 3.4 three-pointers.

Brea finished scoreless (0-2 FG, 0-2 3Pt) in five minutes during Saturday's 111-109 preseason loss to the Nets. Brea missed Phoenix's first two preseason games while recovering from a thumb sprain, but he returned for a brief appearance Saturday. The rookie second-rounder may have a difficult time finding his way into the rotation early on this season.

Brea (thumb) didn't play in Friday's preseason win over the Nets. It was reported earlier in the week that Brea was expected to make his preseason debut this weekend, so it looks like the Suns have an eye toward Sunday's meeting with Brooklyn for the rookie second-rounder. Brea is recovering from a thumb sprain, and he could find it difficult to crack Phoenix's Opening Night rotation due to the lack of exhibition reps.
