Cash Jones: Everything you need to know

Jones is pushing for a spot on the Falcons' roster as a gadget player, Josh Kendall of The Athletic reports. Jones is officially listed as a running back, but the undrafted rookie out of Georgia has been frequently working with the wide receivers during the offseason program. Head coach Kevin Stefanski has lauded Jones for his versatility and intelligence, and the team is cooking up ways to use him on special teams. The latter part is key, as Jones will need to excel on offense and special teams to carve out a role in the regular season.

The Falcons signed Jones as an undrafted free agent Thursday, Tori McElhaney of the team's official site reports. Jones was scarcely used during his five-year collegiate career with Georgia, most recently turning 13 carries into 15 yards while also reeling in 20 of 25 targets for 195 yards and a touchdown over 13 contests in 2025. The running back will look to impress at Atlanta's rookie minicamp in an attempt to potentially stick around for the 2026 season.
