Scott gave up a hit and struck out one without walking a batter in a scoreless inning to earn the save in Tuesday's 6-5 win over the Diamondbacks. This was Scott's first outing since his blown save Saturday versus the Phillies. He bounced back well, though he needed 20 pitches (12 strikes) to get the job done. Scott is up to six saves this season while earning a 2.10 ERA, 0.70 WHIP and 29:3 K:BB across 25.2 innings. The southpaw continues to work as the Dodgers' top high-leverage arm, though that will occasionally get in the way of him picking up saves when he's brought into games before the ninth inning.

Scott (1-2) allowed three runs on three hits without recording a strikeout or a walk over one inning, taking the loss and a blown save Saturday versus the Phillies. Scott allowed an RBI single to Bryce Harper and a two-run home run to Edmundo Sosa in the eighth inning, turning a 3-1 lead into a 4-3 deficit that the Dodgers couldn't bounce back from. This outing ending his 12.1-inning scoreless streak, and it left him with his first blown save of the season. It's just the third time he's been scored upon over 26 appearances. Scott has a 2.19 ERA, 0.69 WHIP and 28:3 K:BB with five saves and five holds over 24.2 innings this year. His usage is unlikely to be disrupted by one bad outing, though he may not pitch Sunday since he's been utilized for consecutive games. Alex Vesia is in the same boat, so a potential save chance Sunday could fall to Blake Treinen, who worked a perfect ninth inning in Saturday's contest for his first action since Monday.

Scott struck out one in a perfect inning to earn the save in Friday's 4-2 win over the Phillies. Scott's scoreless streak is up to 12.1 innings, a span in which he has a 19:2 K:BB. The lefty reliever has functioned as the Dodgers' closer while Edwin Diaz (elbow) is on the shelf, though manager Dave Roberts takes a flexible approach with Scott that sometimes leads to him working earlier than the ninth inning. On the year, Scott has thrived in a variety of assignments, earning a 1.14 ERA, 0.59 WHIP and 28:3 K:BB over 23.2 innings while collecting five saves and five holds.
