Hernandez went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in Friday's 6-0 win over the Angels. Hernandez snapped a 23-game homerless drought with his long ball in the sixth inning. He hit a poor .229 with a .603 OPS over 23 games during the power outage, with just four of his 19 hits going for extra bases in that span. He has logged four multi-hit efforts over his last five games, so it looks like his bat is coming around. Hernandez is batting .269 with a .761 OPS, five homers, 20 RBI, 21 runs scored, seven doubles and a stolen base over 40 contests this season. He hasn't missed the 25-homer mark in a full-length season since 2018, but he'll have to pick up the pace if he's to get back to that level this year.

Teoscar Hernández: Breaking News
Receiving day off amid rough spell
Hernandez is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against Atlanta. According to Jack Harris of the California Post, manager Dave Roberts classified Hernandez's absence from Sunday's lineup as a rest day, and the skipper suggested that the outfielder could be in line for more planned days off as he aims to "work things out" during a rough stretch at the plate. Dating back to April 17, Hernandez is batting just .176 with one extra-base hit. Hernandez is maintaining a more palatable .238 average on the season, but he's supplemented it with a .365 slugging percentage, a career-low mark by 55 points.
Receiving breather Wednesday
Hernandez is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Marlins. Alex Call will get the nod in left field in the series finale while Hernandez sits in what appears to be a routine rest day for the 33-year-old. Hernandez had started in each of the last nine games, going 5-for-32 (.156 average) with zero home runs and a 5:8 BB:K over that stretch.
