Crochet (2-3) took the loss Sunday against the Tigers, allowing five runs on seven hits and two walks in five innings. He struck out eight. Following a career-worst start in Minnesota that saw him surrender 11 runs, Crochet couldn't find his ace form Sunday. He did settle in for three scoreless frames after Dillon Dingler took him deep in the opening inning, but Crochet then gave up four more runs with two outs in the fifth. The star left-hander now holds a disappointing 7.88 ERA, 1.63 WHIP and 30:9 K:BB over 24 innings, so he'll look to figure things out in his next scheduled start versus Baltimore.

Crochet's scheduled start Sunday against the Tigers has been pushed back three hours to 4:35 p.m. ET due to expected rain in Boston, Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com reports. Crochet is looking to rebound from a disastrous outing Monday, when he yielded 11 runs (10 earned) on nine hits and three walks over 1.2 innings in a loss to the Twins. Framber Valdez is scheduled to start for Detroit.

Crochet said after Monday's loss to the Twins that he's fine physically, and manager Alex Cora also said that Crochet is healthy, Christopher Smith of MassLive.com reports. Boston's ace endured a career-worst start in Minnesota, allowing a whopping 10 earned runs in just 1.2 innings while inducing a mere three swings and misses on 55 pitches. His velocity was down 1.2 mph, but Crochet brushed off concerns about his velocity after the game, saying, "I don't think that's anything to fret over." Perhaps he was tipping pitches. Regardless, the No. 3 starter off the board during draft season is seemingly still healthy, and with that, Crochet remains in line to pitch Sunday at home against the Tigers.
