Yoshida went 2-for-5 with two RBI and a run scored in Sunday's 9-4 win over Cleveland. Yoshida's two run-single during a six-run seventh inning gave Boston a lead it never relinquished. The go-ahead hit atoned for a fourth-inning miscue, when he lost sight of a fly ball in left field that led to the Guardians taking a lead. Yoshida is getting regular work with Roman Anthony's rehab from a finger injury taking longer than originally anticipated. The outfield/DH logjam that had limited Yoshida's playing time earlier in the season has cleared up for the time being.

Out of lineup Thursday
Yoshida is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against Atlanta, reports Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com Yoshida will sit out of Thursday's lineup since left-hander Chris Sale is taking the mound for Atlanta. Boston will opt to go with Andruw Monasterio as the DH, batting fifth. Hits first homer in loss
Yoshida went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in Sunday's 6-5 loss to the Twins. Yoshida got the Red Sox on the board with a solo shot in the second inning, his first homer of the campaign. It also marked the 34-year-old's first multi-hit effort dating back to May 6, as he entered Sunday just 5-for-33 over his previous 13 games since that date.
