Garcia is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Reds, Mark Zuckerman of NatsJournal.com reports. The Reds are sending southpaw Nick Lodolo to the mound Wednesday, so Garcia will duck out of the starting nine to open up first base for platoon mate Curtis Mead. Garcia missed four straight starts last week due to a minor wrist sprain, but the time off appears to have done him some good. He returned to the lineup Saturday went a collective 8-for-14 with four extra-base hits, five RBI and four runs over his last three games.

Luis García: Breaking News
Goes deep twice in Cincy
Garcia went 3-for-5 with two solo home runs in Tuesday's 10-4 win over the Reds. The 25-year-old infielder took Brady Singer deep in the third inning before leading off the top of the fifth with a shot down the right-field line off Sam Moll. Garcia came into the contest with only one homer in 36 games to begin the season, but his bat seems to be coming to life -- he's reeled off three straight multi-hit performances since returning to the starting lineup from a minor wrist issue, going 8-for-14 over that hot stretch with a double, a triple, two long balls, four runs and five RBI.
Back in lineup
Garcia (wrist) will start at first base and bat second against the Marlins on Saturday. Garcia was held out of the starting nine for each of Washington's last four games, though he entered Friday's contest as a pinch hitter. Now back in the lineup, the 25-year-old will aim to turn things around offensively after starting May 0-for-9 with three strikeouts.
