Michael Fulmer: Breaking News

Fails to make Opening Day roster

The Giants reassigned Fulmer to minor-league camp Wednesday, Justice delos Santos of The San Jose Mercury News reports. Fulmer joined the Giants as a non-roster invitee in February, and he had a solid showing during spring training with five earned runs allowed and a 16:4 K:BB over 10.1 innings. He made just three regular-season appearances between the Cubs and Red Sox last season after missing all of 2024 due to UCL revision surgery.

Signs with Giants as NRI

The Giants signed Fulmer to a minor-league contract Wednesday that includes an invitation to spring training. Fulmer got into three games in the majors in 2025 but spent most of the year at the Triple-A level, collecting a 3.39 ERA and 86:29 K:BB over 66.1 innings. The right-hander will turn 33 in March and will attempt to win one of the final spots in the San Francisco bullpen.

Goes to Seattle on MiLB deal

The Mariners signed Fulmer to a minor-league contract Tuesday. Fulmer had been released from his minor-league deal with the Royals this past weekend but has quickly landed a new contract. The 32-year-old ha allowed three runs over 5.2 innings in the big leagues this season and holds a 3.98 ERA and 68:24 K:BB over 54.1 frames at the Triple-A level.
