Gasser is slated to start Tuesday's game against the Athletics in Sacramento. Gasser will draw a second straight turn through the Milwaukee rotation after he came through with a strong start Wednesday against the Giants following his call-up from Triple-A Nashville. The left-hander was handed a loss but kept the Brewers competitive while striking out five batters and yielding just one run on five hits and one walk across five innings. Though Gasser will get another chance Tuesday to solidify his spot in the rotation on a longer-term basis, he won't make for the most dependable streaming option at Sutter Health Park, which has been one of the more hitter-friendly venues in the majors since the Athletics began playing there in 2025.

Robert Gasser: Breaking News
Dealt second loss of season
Gasser (0-2) picked up the loss Wednesday, allowing one run on five hits and a walk over five innings during a 1-0 loss against the Giants. He struck out five. Gasser was called up Wednesday just a couple of hours before his start, but delivered his most efficient start of the season. In his third start this season, Gasser limited his walks after giving up six in his first 8.1 innings, and the only run he gave up was a solo home run to Victor Bericoto. The 27-year-old could still be sent down if the Brewers believe Brandon Woodruff (shoulder) is ready to pitch again next week.
Recalled to start Wednesday's game
The Brewers recalled Gasser from Triple-A Nashville on Wednesday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports. He will start Wednesday's game against the Giants. Gasser made a couple starts for the Brewers in May, yielding seven runs (six earned) with a 7:6 K:BB over 8.1 innings of work. The left-hander holds a 3.38 ERA and 38:8 K:BB across 26.2 frames covering seven starts this year at Nashville in his first full season back from Tommy John surgery. Gasser could be sent back down following Wednesday's outing if the Brewers decide Brandon Woodruff (shoulder) is ready to rejoin the rotation next week.
