The Brewers recalled Gasser from Triple-A Nashville to start Sunday's game against the Twins. The 26-year-old lefty will make his 2026 big-league debut on the road in Minnesota beginning the campaign in Nashville's starting rotation. Gasser made his MLB debut in 2024 and has pitched well across seven regular-season starts in the big leagues with a 2.67 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 21:5 K:BB across 33.2 innings.
Brewers manager Pat Murphy said Saturday that there is a "good chance" that Gasser is recalled from Triple-A Nashville to start in Sunday's series finale against the Twins, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports. The Brewers are short-handed in the rotation as both Brandon Woodruff (shoulder) and Quinn Priester (shoulder) are on the 15-day injured list, and Jacob Misiorowski was pulled from Wednesday's start against the Padres due to quad cramping. Gasser has spent the entire 2026 season in Triple-A, where he has a 3.74 ERA, 1.51 WHIP and 32:8 K:BB across 21.2 innings. He made two starts last season for Milwaukee, allowing six runs (two earned) on five hits and four walks while striking out five across 5.2 frames.
Gasser (triceps) will make a start Friday for Triple-A Nashville, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports. Gasser's last start came on April 10, as he was slowed for a bit by left triceps soreness. The southpaw has made two appearances for Nashville this season, allowing four runs with a 15:4 K:BB over nine innings of work.
