Brodric Martin: Everything you need to know

The Raiders claimed Martin off waivers from the Steelers on Friday, per the NFL's transaction log. Martin will be with his third team of the season after spending time with the Chiefs and Steelers. His lone regular-season appearance came in the Steelers' Week 13 loss to the Bills, when he logged 12 snaps (10 on defense, two on special teams) without showing up in the box score otherwise.

Martin (knee) was activated from injured reserve Wednesday. Martin practiced in full last week, but he remained on IR. Considering the Western Kentucky product hasn't played yet this season, he may have needed extra conditioning time. However, his move to the 53-man roster suggests he should be good to go for Sunday's game against the Colts.

Martin (leg) was placed on injured reserve Tuesday. Martin suffered the injury in the team's preseason finale, which will force him to miss at least the first four weeks of the season. The second-year pro will be eligible to return Oct. 13 against the Cowboys, if he is healthy enough to do so.
