Krieg was waived by the Jets on Monday, Brian Costello of the New York Post reports. The kicker agreed to a reserve/future contract with New York in January, but the team has since signed both Cade York (groin) and Younghoe Koo. York and Koo both have NFL experience, while Krieg has yet to appear in a regular-season game.

Lenny Krieg: Breaking News
Joins Jets on reserve/future deal
Krieg signed a reserve/future contract with the Jets on Monday. Nick Folk is set to become a free agent in the offseason, so Krieg's the only kicker in the organization heading into 2026, though more roster moves are expected to follow in the offseason, including the possibility of the Jets re-signing Folk. The 23-year-old Krieg is a Berlin native who has yet to appear in a regular-season NFL game.
Remaining in Atlanta
The Falcons signed Krieg to the practice squad Wednesday, Terrin Waack of the team's official site reports. Krieg will stick around in Atlanta on the practice squad after failing to overtake Younghoe Koo for the starting kicking job. Krieg went 1-for-2 on field-goal attempts and made his lone extra-point attempt across three preseason games.
