Zach Tom: Everything you need to know

Packers GM Brian Gutekunst confirmed Tuesday that Tom (knee) underwent surgery this offseason to repair his partially torn patellar tendon, Dominique Yates of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports. Tom popped up on the injury report with a knee injury in December but ended up missing the Packers' final four contests of the 2025 season, including the wild-card loss to the Bears. He tired to push through the injury but was unable to do so before needing surgery. Tom has started all 46 games in which he's appeared over the last three regular seasons.

Tom (pectoral) is expected to have surgery on a partially torn patellar tendon and will face a six-month recovery after the procedure, Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports. Tom didn't suit up for Green Bay's loss to the Bears in the wild-card game. He started all 12 regular-season games for which he suited up at right tackle and is under contract through the 2029 season on a four-year, $88 million extension.

Tom (back) is inactive for Saturday's wild-card round game against the Bears, Mike Spofford of the Packers' official site reports. Tom logged two limited practices to begin the week but was downgraded to no participation Thursday. That was labeled as a rest day by head coach Matt LaFleur, though that now proves to be inaccurate. Tom's absence will leave a big void along Green Bay's offensive line, with Jordan Morgan set to step in at right tackle.
