Durant was considered questionable to play Sunday, but he'll ultimately be forced to take a seat in Week 11. Duke Shelley and Derion Kendrick stand to take on increased workloads in Durant's absence.
The second-year corner seems to have re-aggravated the shoulder injury he suffered during the Rams' Week 8 loss. Duke Shelley has stepped in at corner for the time being, per Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic.
McVay also noted that Durant is expected to be a limited participant in Wednesday's practice. He left Sunday's game in the first half in what appeared to be a shoulder injury and did not return with the Cowboys holding a commanding 24-point lead at halftime. Durant was coming off a Week 8 performance when he played 100 percent of the defensive snaps for the first time this season and accumulated five tackles and a pass deflection.
Durant was looked at by team trainers after hurting his shoulder in the first half of the contest. The fourth-round pick in the 2022 draft has taken on a larger role as the season has progressed, logging 100 percent of the Rams' defensive snaps for the first time last week against Pittsburgh. Duke Shelley could step in for however long Durant is sidelined.
