Dennis Houston: Everything you need to know

The Buccaneers signed Houston to a reserve/future contract Monday, Greg Auman of Fox Sports reports. Houston spent the entirety of the 2025 campaign as a member of the practice squad in Tampa Bay, but he failed to appear in any contests. The wide receiver will now have the chance to participate in the Buccaneers' offseason activities, and he'll look to impress in an effort to earn an opportunity with the active roster in 2026.

Tampa Bay signed Houston to its practice squad Thursday, Scott Smith of the Buccaneers' official site reports. Houston's training camp was hampered by injuries, so he'll start the season on the practice squad instead of Tampa Bay's 53-man active roster. His last regular-season action came in 2022, when he caught two of six targets for 16 yards over two games with the Cowboys.

Houston (groin) was waived Tuesday, Scott Smith of the Buccaneers' official site reports. Houston's groin injury has healed, but he failed to make Tampa Bay's initial 53-man roster. The 26-year-old wide receiver will be a candidate for Tampa Bay's practice squad if he goes unclaimed on waivers.
