Dontae Fleming: Everything you need to know

The Vikings signed Fleming to a reserve/future contract Monday. Fleming joined the Vikings as an undrafted free agent in April and spent the entire 2025 season on the team's practice squad after failing to make the 53-man roster at the end of training camp. He was not elevated to the active roster for his rookie season, but Fleming will stick around with the organization and participate in offseason activities with an eye toward making the roster for the 2026 campaign.

Fleming was signed to the Vikings' practice squad Wednesday, Craig Peters of the team's official website reports. Fleming went unclaimed on waivers after being let go by Minnesota on Tuesday, and he will now stick around as a member of the team's practice unit. The wide receiver will look to earn an elevation to the active roster at some point this season to make his NFL debut.

The Vikings waived Flaming on Tuesday. Fleming brought speed to the Vikings' receiver room after running a 4.44 40-yard dash, but his production at Tulane was mediocre overall. The 23-year-old finished fourth on the team with 71 receiving yards this preseason.
