Jay Higgins: Everything you need to know

The Ravens activated Higgins (knee) from injured reserve Saturday. Higgins was placed on injured reserve Nov. 15 after playing in nine games for the Ravens. The linebacker is primarily a special teamer, and his return to the active roster means he will likely resume his role for the unit in Saturday night's game against the Packers.

Higgins (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Patriots. Higgins returned to practice this week but has been sidelined since Week 11. He'll remain on injured reserve for the time being, but he looks to have a decent chance to return in Week 17 after logging two limited practices to begin the week, followed by a full session Friday.

Higgins has been sidelined since Week 11 and is thus eligible to return at any point. He'll likely have to turn in a full session at some point this week to have a chance to suit up for Sunday night's game against the Patriots. Higgins is likely to return to a role on special teams.
