The Bills designated Carter (wrist) for return from injured reserve Wednesday, Alaina Getzenberg of ESPN.com reports. A third-round pick at No. 95 overall out of Duke in the 2024 NFL Draft, Carter logged 183 defensive snaps and another 19 on special teams across the first seven games of the season. He's missed the last four contests while on injured reserve. Wednesday's move officially opened the rookie's 21-day practice window.
Grable (abdomen) was designated for return from injured reserve by the Bills on Wednesday, Alaina Getzenberg of ESPN.com reports. The sixth-round rookie played seven offensive snaps across the first three games of the season and has been out ever since. The Bills will have 21 days to activate Grable from injured reserve or shut him down for the remainder of the season.
Milano (biceps) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice, Sal Capaccio of WGR Sports Radio 550 Buffalo reports. Milano practiced in full for the first time since being designated to return from injured reserve Nov. 13, suggesting he's trending toward returning for Sunday's matchup against the 49ers. However, the 30-year-old linebacker must still be activated to Buffalo's active roster in order to suit up in Week 13. If Milano is active Sunday, it will be his first appearance of the season after tearing his biceps in mid-August.
Head coach Sean McDermott noted that Coleman (wrist) will be limited at practice Wednesday, Maddy Glab of the Bills' official site reports. Coleman, who last played in Week 9, wasn't able to practice ahead of Week 11 action, but following the Bills' bye week, the wideout is slated to work in a limited capacity Wednesday. While that's a step in the right direction for Coleman, he'll need to practice fully by Friday in order to approach Sunday's game against the 49ers without an injury designation.

He has two more chances to get in some on-field work ahead of Sunday's game against the 49ers, but if Kincaid remains sidelined this weekend, Dawson Knox would maintain an expanded role as the Bills' primary option at tight end.
Johnson rushed five times for 18 yards and failed to secure his lone target in Sunday's 30-21 win over the Chiefs. Johnson played 33 of the Bills' 73 offensive snaps Sunday, ahead of both James Cook (27) and Ray Davis (15). Despite handling his largest snap share of the season, the veteran running back was unable to get much going. Going forward, Johnson will continue to operate in his depth role, barring injuries to Cook and Davis, keeping him far off the fantasy radar as the Bills head into a Week 12 bye.

Davis remains difficult to trust for fantasy purposes while Cook is healthy. The Bills head into a Week 12 bye before hosting the 49ers on Dec. 1.
