Badgley suffered a season-ending hamstring injury during Thursday's practice, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. A torn hamstring during the first week of training camp will end Badgley's season before it really began, with the Lions reportedly planning to place him on injured reserve in the coming days. Jake Bates, a 2023 UDFA and breakout performer with the UFL's Michigan Panthers this past spring, is left as the only kicker on the roster, but it presumably won't be long before the team brings in some competition. Whoever ends up winning the job could have fantasy value even if they're inexperienced, as the Lions had one of the better offenses in the league last season and return most of their key pieces for 2024.

Reeves-Maybin (groin) is seemingly healthy once again, Daniel Mears of The Detroit News reports. Reeves-Maybin has now recovered from a groin injury suffered during the NFC Championship Game last season. The 29-year-old will look to contribute both on special teams and as a reserve defender once the regular season starts.
Moseley has now recovered from a knee injury, John Maakaron of Sports Illustrated reports. Moseley is now healthy once again after having torn his ACL each of the past two seasons. The 28-year-old will look to contribute as a depth defensive back once the regular season begins.
The Lions placed Farniok (undisclosed) on the reserve/PUP list after he cleared waivers, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Farniok was waived by Detroit on Tuesday but will now return to the team, albeit on the PUP list. The 2021 seventh-round pick will now be forced to sit out at least the first four games of the regular season.
Dorsey (lower leg) is seemingly healthy once again, Nolan Bianchi of the Lions' official site reports. Dorsey has recovered from a lower leg injury suffered last month. The 26-year-old should serve as Detroit's starting kick returner and could also add value as a depth defensive back.
Bada (arm) signed with the Lions on Thursday, Nolan Bianchi of The Detroit News reports. The defensive tackle needed surgery to repair a torn triceps during training camp with Washington last year. The 29-year-old from the NFL's International Pathway Program spent the last four seasons with Washington but only appeared in two games.
Sudfeld (knee) participated in Wednesday's training camp session, Paul Sancya of The Herald Journal reports. Sudfeld was photographed on the practice field Wednesday, and it looks like he's been medically cleared after having missed the entire 2023 season due to a torn ACL. He figures to spend training camp competing with second-year quarterback Hendon Hooker for the top backup gig behind Jared Goff.
Knight (shoulder) has been cleared to practice at the start of training camp, Nolan Bianchi of the Detroit News reports. Knight suffered a torn labrum last season and spent the final three months on injured reserve. He's competing for a roster spot behind David Montgomery, Jahmyr Gibbs and Craig Reynolds this summer.
