Flowers (Achilles) expects to be ready for the start of the 2024 season, James Boyd of The Athletic reports. Flowers began the 2023 season as a starting corner for the Colts and tallied 15 total tackles and three passes defensed before suffering a torn Achilles in Week 4. He should have the chance to maintain a significant role as an outside corner, opposite Juju Brents with Kenny Moore covering the slot.
Hull (knee) appears set to compete with Trey Sermon for the backup role behind starter Jonathan Taylor this offseason, James Boyd of The Athletic reports. Hull is back to full health after a knee injury limited him to just one appearance as a rookie in 2023, per Paul Bretl of USA Today. After Zack Moss was able to thrive as the backup to Taylor in 2023, fantasy managers will want to keep an eye on which of Hull and Sermon managers to show out better in training camp and preseason action. Sermon could have a leg up to begin the competition, but as Boyd notes, he's totaled just 78 carries in his career and isn't significantly more established than Hull.
Paye had the fifth-year option on his contract exercised Thursday, Nate Atkins of The Indianapolis Star reports. Paye had a successful third NFL season in 2023, recording career highs across the board, with 52 combined tackles, including 8.5 sacks. He also forced and recovered two fumbles. The Michigan product should now remain an integral part of the Colts' pass rush for the next two seasons.
Carlies is expected to transition to linebacker after playing safety in college, George Bremer of The Anderson Herald Bulletin reports. There were questions about Carlies coverage ability coming out of Missouri and entering the 2024 Draft, but his speed and playmaking skills still earned him a fifth-round selection by the Colts. Due to those skills, along with his ability to tackle, the transition to linebacker makes sense for the 22-year-old.

Scott was selected in the fifth round of the 2023 Draft, but he missed the entirety of his rookie campaign after he suffered a torn ACL during OTAs last June. It's still not clear when the California product will be 100 percent, or if he is already, but it appears the team believes he'll be healthy enough to compete for a starting job in 2024.

Thomas started 15 of the 17 games he appeared in last season, but that doesn't mean he'll maintain that role this year. Bradley stated that both Daniel Scott (knee) and Nick Cross will have the opportunity to take the job from Thomas.

The Maryland product saw more opportunities during his second NFL campaign in 2023, which led to him totaling 39 combined tackles and an interception. However, to earn the role he'll have to unseat Thomas, who started all 15 games for the Colts last season.
