Siani was optioned to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Monday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports. Siani was scooped up off waivers by the Dodgers in early February, though he was unable to get his bat going during his time in big-league camp. He hit .143 with one double, three stolen bases and six runs scored in 16 games.
The Dodgers claimed Siani off waivers from the Yankees on Tuesday. Siani went from the Dodgers to the Yankees via waivers in January and is now headed back in the other direction. The slick-fielding center fielder is a career .221/.277/.270 hitter at the big-league level and will likely begin the season at Triple-A Oklahoma City, if he's still in the Dodgers organization at that point.
The Yankees designated Siani for assignment Wednesday. The move frees up a spot on the 40-man roster for the addition of Angel Chivilli, who was acquired via trade Wednesday. Siani was just claimed off waivers by the Yankees last week, the third time this offseason he's been scooped up via waivers. The 26-year-old outfielder will be available again for other teams to claim.
