Michael Siani: Everything you need to know

The Orioles claimed Siani off waivers from the Dodgers on Monday, Matt Weyrich of The Baltimore Sun reports. Siani has spent all of the 2026 campaign at Triple-A Oklahoma City, where he's slashed .225/.355/.303 with no home runs, five steals and a 17:30 BB:K over 29 games. The 26-year-old will give the Orioles some additional experienced outfield depth at Triple-A Norfolk.

The Dodgers designated Siani for assignment Tuesday, Jack Harris of the California Post reports. The transaction frees up a spot on the 40-man roster for Alek Thomas, who was acquired via trade Tuesday. Siani has spent all of the 2026 campaign at Triple-A Oklahoma City, where he's slashed .225/.355/.303 with no home runs, five steals and a 17:30 BB:K over 29 contests. The 26-year-old is a gifted defensive center fielder, so he could draw interest via waivers in spite of his offensive shortcomings.

Siani was optioned to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Monday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports. Siani was scooped up off waivers by the Dodgers in early February, though he was unable to get his bat going during his time in big-league camp. He hit .143 with one double, three stolen bases and six runs scored in 16 games.
