Cut from Red Sox camp

The Red Sox reassigned Capra to minor-league camp Saturday. Last spring, Capra was able to secure a spot on the Brewers' Opening Day roster, but the 29-year-old utility man wasn't as fortunate in his first camp with the Red Sox. Capra will presumably begin the season at Triple-A Worcester, where he should get the chance to play on a near-everyday basis. Between his stops with the Brewers and White Sox in 2025, Capra saw action in 47 big-league games and slashed .125/.157/.177 with one home run and two stolen bases across 105 plate appearances.

Signs MiLB deal with Red Sox

The Red Sox signed Capra to a minor-league contract Wednesday. Capra managed just a .125/.157/.177 batting line across 47 contests for the Brewers and White Sox in 2025. The 29-year-old offers plenty of defensive versatility and will give Boston some useful depth at Triple-A Worcester.

Clears waivers, goes to Triple-A

The White Sox outrighted Capra to Triple-A Charlotte on Tuesday. He's no longer on the 40-man roster, but Capra will remain in the organization after passing through waivers unclaimed. The utility player has slashed just .125/.157/.177 in 105 plate appearances in the majors this season between the Brewers and White Sox.
