Tyler Kolek: Breaking News

Kolek (oblique) isn't listed on the injury report for Saturday's Game 1 against the Hawks. Kolek missed New York's final four regular-season games due to a right oblique strain, though he's set to be available for the start of the playoffs. However, the second-year point guard isn't guaranteed meaningful playing time with the Knicks at full strength.

Kolek (oblique) participated in Wednesday's practice, per Jared Schwartz of the New York Post. The second-year guard missed New York's final four games of the regular season due to a right oblique strain, but he's trending in the right direction ahead of the playoffs. Even if Kolek is available for Game 1 on Saturday versus the Hawks, Miles McBride and Jordan Clarkson appear to be the favorites for the reserve minutes in the backcourt.

Kolek (oblique) will sit out Sunday's game versus the Hornets. This will be Kolek's fourth straight game on the inactive list, and it'll be interesting to see if he gets cleared when the playoffs begin. Jose Alvarado should continue to pick up most of Kolek's minutes.
