Barrett Carter: Breaking News

Carter notched 106 tackles (53 solo) and four passes defensed, including one interception, across 17 regular-season appearances in 2025. Carter compiled impressive production for a rookie fourth-round pick, though the actual quality of his play left something to be desired. Though Carter earned an every-down role in defense as a rookie, it won't be surprising if he has to compete to retain a starting gig this offseason, unless he manages to take a substantial step forward in his development.

Carter totaled three tackles (one solo) and a defensed pass Sunday in a 37-14 victory versus Arizona. Carter has been effective against the air attack of late, logging three defensed passes (including his first career interception) over his past two games. The rookie out of Clemson has had a solid first NFL campaign, tallying 101 tackles and four defensed passes through 16 contests.

Carter notched five tackles (one solo) and two defensed passes, including an interception, Sunday in a 45-21 victory over the Dolphins. Carter tied for second on Cincinnati in tackles in the victory. He was responsible for Dolphins QB Quinn Ewers' first career interception, picking off the fellow rookie in the third quarter. That interception was also Carter's first as a pro.
