Brady Russell: Everything you need to know

Russell is slated to re-sign with the Seahawks on a two-year deal, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports. The 27-year-old from Colorado is now in line to remain in Seattle after spending the first three seasons of his NFL career with the team. Russell was a key special-teamer during the Seahawks' 2025 campaign, recording 14 total tackles and one fumble recovery across 454 total snaps (396 on special teams, 58 on offense). He's expected to operate in a similar role ahead of the 2026 season.

Russell underwent hand surgery the day after Seattle's 31-27 NFC Championship win over the Rams, Brady Henderson of ESPN reports. Russell managed to play through his injury during the Seahawks' Super Bowl win over the Patriots, where he led the team in special-teams snaps. The 27-year-old will now have the offseason to get back to full health before the start of the 2027 campaign.

Russell (hand) was a full participant in Seattle's practice Wednesday, per Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic. Russell was a limited participant in practice throughout last week after suffering a hand injury during the NFC Championship Game but is seemingly healthy again. With Robbie Ouzts still battling a neck injury, Russell could be in line to serve as the team's top fullback in the Super Bowl on Sunday.
