Coach Mike Tomlin ruled out Herbig (hamstring) for Sunday's Week 6 game against the Raiders, Missi Matthews of the Steelers' official site reports. Herbig was injured in this past Sunday night's loss to the Cowboys and will join Alex Highsmith (groin) as out for the game versus Las Vegas. Herbig had been filling in for Highsmith opposite T.J. Watt. Jeremiah Moon appears to be the next man up off the edge for the Steelers.

Won't play versus Las Vegas
Coach Mike Tomlin ruled out Herbig (hamstring) for Sunday's Week 6 game against the Raiders, Missi Matthews of the Steelers' official site reports. Herbig was injured in this past Sunday night's loss to the Cowboys and will join Alex Highsmith (groin) as out for the game versus Las Vegas. Herbig had been filling in for Highsmith opposite T.J. Watt. Jeremiah Moon appears to be the next man up off the edge for the Steelers.
Dealing with hamstring injury
Herbig (hamstring) is questionable to return to Sunday's contest with the Cowboys, Steelers Senior Director of Communications Burt Lauten reports. Herbig went down while attempting to get to Dak Prescott on a pass attempt in the third quarter, heading to the locker room soon after with a hamstring injury. In his absence, Jeremiah Moon is a candidate to see an uptick in workload at outside linebacker.
Returns vs. Colts
Herbig (ankle) is back on the field for Sunday's game against Indianapolis, Brian Batko of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports. Herbig left in the second quarter of Sunday's game due to an ankle injury, but he has returned for the start of the second half. His presence is desperately needed, as he and T.J. Watt are the only active outside linebackers available for the Steelers this week.
Leaves game with ankle injury
Herbig left Sunday's game against the Colts with an ankle injury and is questionable to return, Mike Chappell of Fox 59 News Indianapolis reports. Herbig came off the field early in the second quarter. With Alex Highsmith (groin) inactive for Sunday's game, T.J. Watt would be the only outside linebacker for the Steelers for the rest of the contest should Herbig not return.
Logs two sacks in win
Herbig tallied three tackles (three solo), including 2.0 sacks, and forced a fumble during Pittsburgh's 20-10 win versus the Chargers on Sunday. Herbig saw increased playing time after Alex Highsmith exited the game with a groin injury and ended up having one of the best outings of his career. If Highsmith ends up being sidelined for an extended period of time, Herbig will likely serve as the team's starting outside linebacker opposite T.J. Watt.
