Noah Igbinoghene: Everything you need to know

The Seahawks signed Igbinoghene to a one-year contract Saturday, Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic reports. Igbinoghene is a six-year NFL veteran who has spent time with Miami, Dallas and Washington. Last season with the Commanders, he played in 15 regular-season games (two starts), registering 35 tackles (including 1.0 sacks) and five defensed passes. Igbinoghene also logged some work as a kick returner, taking seven kickoffs for 191 yards (27.3 YPR). He'll likely work in a rotational role at cornerback and serve as a depth option in the return game with Seattle.

Igbinoghene recorded 35 total tackles (22 solo), including 1.0 sacks, while also adding five passes defensed and 191 kickoff-return yards over 15 contests during the 2025 regular season. Igbinoghene was able to register at least 35 takedowns for the second straight year after compiling 29 total tackles over his first four seasons in the NFL. The 26-year-old was also able to notch his first career sack in 2025, bringing down Eagles quarterback Tanner McKee in the regular-season finale. Igbinoghene is set to become a free agent in the offseason, and his increased production over the last two seasons has certainly raised his value on the open market.

Igbinoghene and the Commanders agreed to a one-year contract Thursday, Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports. Igbinoghene played in just 14 regular-season games between 2022 and 2023, but he appeared in all 17 regular-season games for the Commanders in 2024 (including 10 starts) and finished with 55 tackles (33 solo) and seven pass defenses. Igbinoghene should play a prominent role in the Commanders' secondary in 2025 alongside Marshon Lattimore, Mike Sainristil and Jonathan Jones.
