Armstead recorded a sack in Sunday's 20-17 loss to the Dolphins. Armstead was able to make a splash play in his debut with the Jaguars, sacking Miami quarterback Tua Tagovailoa for a five-yard loss in the third quarter. The 30-year-old will look to establish himself as a force for Jacksonville on the team's interior defensive line in 2024 after spending the first nine seasons of his career with San Francisco.
Walker recorded six total tackles (two solo), including 2.0 sacks, in Sunday's 20-17 loss to the Dolphins. Walker was busy in Week 1, getting to Miami quarterback Tua Tagovailoa in both the first and third quarter of the contest. The 23-year-old notched 10.0 sacks in 2023 and he's now off to a strong start to his third NFL season after being selected first overall in the 2022 NFL Draft by Jacksonville.
Lloyd recorded nine total tackles (seven solo) in Sunday's 20-17 loss to the Dolphins. Lloyd was rather active in Week 1, finishing second to Foye Oluokun on the team in tackles. The linebacker compiled 127 tackles last season and he appears to have picked up where he left off in 2024.
Oluokun recorded 11 total tackles (eight solo) and a pass deflection in Sunday's 20-17 loss to the Dolphins. Oluokun opened the year with an impressive performance, leading the team in stops. The linebacker has been amongst the league leaders in tackles each of the last three seasons and he appears to be on track to do so again in 2024.
Farrell played 14 offensive snaps and didn't receive a target during Sunday's 20-17 loss to the Dolphins. Evan Engram was the only Jaguars tight end to be involved in the passing game in the season opener. Farrell tallied career highs in catches (13) and receiving yards (155) last season, and he should continue to see occasional snaps as a blocking option.
Jones played one offensive snap and didn't receive a target during Sunday's 20-17 loss to the Dolphins. The 26-year-old re-signed with the Jaguars in mid-April but unsurprisingly saw most of his action on special teams in Week 1, as he played 16 snaps. Jones appears to be behind Parker Washington and Devin Duvernay on the depth chart at wide receiver, but none of that trio is likely to have offensive relevance if top wideouts Christian Kirk, Gabe Davis and Brian Thomas remain healthy.
Washington caught his lone target for three yards and returned two kickoffs for 44 yards during Sunday's 20-17 loss to Miami. The 22-year-old played just seven offensive snaps as Gabe Davis, Brian Thomas and Christian Kirk dominated the wideout reps for Jacksonville in Week 1. Washington saw the field more than fellow reserve wide receivers Devin Duvernay and Tim Jones but won't have any fantasy utility in his current role.
